This is a general walking tour around Hillsborough where you will experience some of the charm and beauty of this historic village. You will hear about its development, some of the people who have helped shape the local community and influence the wider world.
For the month of July the public tours will start and finish at the gates of Beechlawn School, Dromore Road due to development work in the Forest Park car park. The council have indicated that the public can use the Beechlawn School car park, at the weekend, while the Forest Park car park is being upgraded.
The tour will last between 1.5-2 hrs, please plan to join the tour 10-15 minutes before the start to allow for registration.
This tour will operate on the “Free Walking Tour” principle, i.e. there is no fee for the tour, but if you enjoy the event please feel free to donate to your guide(s) at the end.
